WHO WE ARE?
Founded in 2015 by Camille and Jean Scholtès, JUMBO Hotel & Asset Management is a Luxembourg-based company that has grown to become a benchmark in hotel and asset management. Initially built around the acquisition and management of the Mandarina Hotel in Strassen, JUMBO has gradually expanded its expertise and services to offer comprehensive support, from investment to operational development.
Over the years, the company has built up a team of passionate experts, united by a common goal: to maximize value creation and guarantee the satisfaction of all stakeholders - be they investors, employees, local and global partners, or guests staying at our establishments.
At the end of 2024, a new turning point came with the arrival of XX as managing partner alongside Camille and Jean. This unique partnership strengthens Jumbo's momentum thanks to a rare complementarity: Camille, Jean and XXX form a team whose diversity of generations, skills, experience and networks enables us to pursue an ambitious common vision and respond to the challenges of the hotel sector in innovative ways.
Currently, JUMBO manages a portfolio of some twenty establishments in Western Europe, with total sales of 35 million euros by 2024. With a strong ambition for growth, the company continues to rely on a solid platform of expertise, optimizing operational performance to maximize the value of investments.
Meet the executive team
JEAN SCHOLTES
CEO and Co-Founder
With his extensive international hospitality experience and appointments with international brands such as Marriott, Jean Scholtes, a Glion alumnus with major in Corporate Finance and Revenue Management dared his first step into independence by acquiring his first hotel, together with his wife Camille, in Luxembourg in 2015. As of then, the two hoteliers started to develop their vision of managing multiple hotels throughout Western Europe by taking over several projects in Luxembourg and France. As CEO, Jean focusses on client relationship building as well as on the project management of developments and renovations.
CAMILLE SCHOLTES
Co-Founder
Following her five years of studies in law, Camille joined her husband Jean in stepping into the hospitality world by taking over several key roles that added to the success of the company. Given her extensive knowledge in law and legislation, her main focus lies in the legal audit of all matters in the company, regardless of their nature. In addition to her legal role, she furthermore coordinates the day-to-day communication with our different stakeholders, service providers, accountants and lawyers and is also in charge of all human resources related matters for all our properties.
CHLOE
Senior Project Manager
After a degree in communication in France, Chloé joined the team of an event agency based in Metz. She then turned to the hotel and restaurant industry by joining a well-known group in the region, first as a banqueting salesperson, then as Sales and Marketing Manager. After this successful experience, she dedicated herself to the sales department of a hotel group managed by JHM, before joining the team in early 2023 as Senior Project Manager.
CLAIRE
Human Ressources Director
After graduating in labor law in 2016, Claire joined the HR department of a national industrial bakery-pastry group before turning to legal consulting in an accounting firm. In 2021, she took over the HR department of a hotel group managed by JHM, then joined the internal team in 2022.
HARRY
Marketing Manager
With a degree in Marketing Communications from the University of Brussels, Harry has extensive experience in the hotel and tourism sector, having worked in Belgium, France and the Grand Duchy. Passionate about hotel marketing, he plays a key role at Jumbo, guiding hotel projects from A to Z. Harry oversees all marketing initiatives, both for new developments and existing establishments. His approach is to develop impactful strategies that drive the growth of our projects, while ensuring that each hotel embodies Jumbo's values of excellence. His expertise ensures that communications are consistent and engaging, maximizing the visibility and success of our hotels in the marketplace.
JEROME
Senior Project Manager
Armed with three years of hotel management school, Jérôme became a cook in a restaurant beside the world's best sommelier. Then, he became a chef de partie in a gastronomic restaurant and later a chef in a vegan restaurant. His experience in the hospitality industry, combined with his experience as Quality Manager, led him to become F&B Manager of a hotel managed by JHM, and then F&B Director of the company's largest hotel complex. Today, as Senior Project Manager, Jérôme oversees both hotel and catering operational projects at various JHM sites.
MATHIEU
Chief Financial Officer
Mathieu holds the position of CFO at Jumbo Hotel Management, where he brings his expertise in financial management acquired over a rich and diversified career. Graduating from the Burgundy School of Business in 2012 with a Master's degree in Management, specializing in corporate finance, he began his career in Luxembourg as an external auditor. After several years in industry as a management controller and then financial manager, Mathieu moved into the service sector. At Jumbo, he oversees all financial aspects of the company and our hotel projects, bringing rigor and strategic vision. His experience enables him to guarantee optimal management, while supporting the growth and success of the establishments we work with.
