WHO WE ARE?

Founded in 2015 by Camille and Jean Scholtès, JUMBO Hotel & Asset Management is a Luxembourg-based company that has grown to become a benchmark in hotel and asset management. Initially built around the acquisition and management of the Mandarina Hotel in Strassen, JUMBO has gradually expanded its expertise and services to offer comprehensive support, from investment to operational development.

Over the years, the company has built up a team of passionate experts, united by a common goal: to maximize value creation and guarantee the satisfaction of all stakeholders - be they investors, employees, local and global partners, or guests staying at our establishments.

 

Currently, JUMBO represents a portfolio of around twenty open and planned establishments. Already an operator in Luxembourg, Belgium and France, with a business volume in excess of €35 million, the company has a strong ambition for growth and relies on a solid platform of expertise to optimise operational performance and maximise the value of its investments.


Meet the executive team

JEAN SCHOLTES

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

With solid experience in the hotel industry, notably with internationally renowned brands such as Marriott, Jean Scholtes stands out for his professional and academic background. A graduate of the Glion International Hotel School, he holds degrees in corporate finance and revenue management. 

In 2015, Jean Scholtes began his entrepreneurial journey by acquiring his first hotel alongside his wife, Camille, in Luxembourg. This marked the beginning of an exciting adventure in which the couple put their innovative vision of hotel management into practice. Since then, Jean Scholtes and his wife have expanded their footprint in the hotel sector in Western Europe. Their ability to anticipate market trends has made them key players in the field.

In operational terms, Jean is in charge of finance and business development.

 

CAMILLE SCHOLTES

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Following her five years of studies in law, Camille joined her husband Jean in stepping into the hospitality world by taking over several key roles that added to the success of the company. Given her extensive knowledge in law and legislation, her main focus lies in the legal audit of all matters in the company, regardless of their nature.

In addition to her legal role, she furthermore coordinates the day-to-day communication with our different stakeholders, service providers, accountants and lawyers and is also in charge of all human resources related matters for all our properties.

 

CHLOE

Senior Project Manager

With a degree in communications, she began her career with an events agency, where she acquired solid skills in coordination and client management. She then specialised in the hotel and catering industry, joining a well-known regional group, where she excelled successively as Banqueting Sales Manager, then Sales and Marketing Manager. Her ability to devise and execute effective sales strategies led her to manage the development of a hotel portfolio before joining JUMBO Hotel & Asset Management in 2023.

As Senior Project Manager, Chloé plays a key role in supporting investors and implementing strategic hotel projects, combining commercial vision with operational rigour to maximise value creation.

 

CLAIRE

 Human Ressources Director

A graduate in employment law in 2016, Claire began her career in the HR department of an industrial bakery-pastry group.She then broadened her expertise as a legal advisor in an accountancy firm.

In 2021, she became head of human resources for a hotel group managed by JUMBO, before joining the in-house team in 2022. Her professionalism, combined with her close relationship with the teams, makes her a valuable ally in supporting and developing talent at the heart of every project. Claire embodies a modern vision of HR, focused on people, collaboration and employee well-being.

 

HARRY

Marketing Manager

With a degree in Marketing Communications from the University of Brussels, Harry has extensive experience in the hotel and tourism sector, having worked in Belgium, France and the Grand Duchy. Passionate about hotel marketing, he plays a key role at JUMBO, guiding hotel projects from A to Z.

Harry oversees all marketing initiatives, both for new developments and existing establishments. His approach is to develop impactful strategies that drive the growth of our projects, while ensuring that each hotel embodies JUMBO's values of excellence. His expertise ensures that communications are consistent and engaging, maximizing the visibility and success of our hotels in the marketplace.

 

JEROME

Senior Project Manager

After three years at hotel school, Jérôme honed his culinary skills working alongside the world's best sommelier in a renowned bistro. He then broadened his gastronomic experience as chef de partie, before taking the reins of a vegan restaurant as chef.

His expertise in catering, combined with experience as a quality manager, led him to take on F&B management roles for establishments managed by JUMBO, culminating in the position of F&B Director for the company's largest hotel complex. Today, as Senior Project Manager, Jérôme puts his expertise at the service of operational projects, providing strategic and operational supervision of the hotel and catering aspects on several sites.

 

CAMILLE

Financial Controller

Graduating in accounting in 2018, Camille gained solid experience in accounting and financial management while working in Luxembourg. After several years in a fiduciary capacity, she specialized in assisting companies, mastering the accounting, tax and legal aspects essential to their smooth operation.

Her thoroughness and organizational skills make her a reliable and committed professional, ensuring that JUMBO Hotel & Asset Management's finances are monitored and optimized.

 

SEBASTIEN

Revenue Manager

A graduate of a leading hotel management school, Sébastien is JUMBO Hotel & Asset Management's pricing strategy expert.On a day-to-day basis, he oversees pricing, yield management and revenue optimisation for the various establishments under his management.

His main objective is to increase RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), the key performance indicator that reflects the overall effectiveness of sales and occupancy strategies.Thanks to a detailed analysis of market data, demand trends and performance, Sébastien adjusts prices in real time to maximise turnover while guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

His rigorous approach and strategic sense enable hotels to remain competitive in a constantly changing environment.
